History

Rockin The Barn is an annual live music festival which takes place at the Barn Theatre in Southwick, Sussex. It features top local Sussex bands, who all give their time free to raise funds for Southwick Community Association.
The first event was on 10th September 2005 - the 60th anniversary of the Association.
Still going strong 60 years on, Southwick Community Association has become an integral part of the community, running and maintaining the Barn Theatre and Community Centre.

The Community Centre is home to 50 different groups including a playgroup, amateur dramatic companies, foreign language schools and the Barn Cafe. In all more than 50,000 people come through its doors every year. More information, including details on forthcoming events, can be found at www.southwickcommunitycentre.org.uk.
One popular event is the annual Beer Festival, which takes place during the Whitsun Bank Holiday weekend - www.southwickbeerfestival.co.uk.

The Barn Theatre is a fantastic resource for the whole community, yet unbelievably statistics showed that 75% of Southwick residents were unaware that it was there!
Rockin The Barn 2005
Rockin The Barn 2005 changed that. The event was an unprecedented success, attracting 600 people through the doors and raising over £2500.
The fantastic day provided great entertainment for all age groups, with eight bands and three acoustic acts. Also giving their time free were a team of over 30 volunteers, performing a whole range of jobs.
